Advertiser: what it is and how to create it

169 views Less than a minute 0

The Advertiser is one of the key entities of the Blendee Adserver and represents the person or company that pays to advertise a product or service online.

In Blendee you can create two types of Advertisers, Regular and Internal depending on whether the campaigns associated with it are Paying or Autopromo.

It is possible to associate multiple Creatives and Campaigns with an Advertiser.

How to create an Advertiser

Click on the “Advertiser” item in the main menu of the Adserver module, and proceed by clicking on “Add”

or, on the Advertiser List page, by clicking on the “Add Advertiser” button located at the top right of the list

Fill in the General section with key information about the Advertiser.

  • Advertiser ID: unique identifier of the Advertiser, automatically generated by the system;
  • Name: name of the Advertiser assigned by the operator. Required field;
  • External ID: (optional) Advertiser’s external ID;
  • Type: Regular for all Advertisers and Internal for Autopromo Advertisers;
  • Agency: external agency associated with the Advertiser;
  • Active: checkbox to activate the Advertiser. The checkbox is selected by default;
  • Set Default Viewability: checkbox to enable Viewability tracking in the Creatives and Campaigns associated with the Advertiser by default. Viewability is measured according to the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) standard;
  • Frequency Capping: frequency limit to the delivery of your Advertiser based on the number and time of viewing per individual user.

On the Create/Edit Advertiser page, you can:

  • Using the Reporting section, schedule the automatic sending of defined report types:
  • via the White Black List section, set white/blacklist rules at the Advertiser, Campaign and Creative level:

Save the data entered by clicking on the “Save” button. The created Advertiser is automatically added to the list of Advertisers.
