Often, when sending an Email Marketing campaign, it is necessary to check which of two subject lines or which of two email contents are more effective. Blendee provides a testing system for sending newsletters that simplifies and automates this type of testing. The article provides details on how to go about creating an email test.
The first step is to create a classic newsletter (for more information on how to best do this step, we invite you to read, if you haven’t done so, the dedicated article).
Once we’ve created our basic email campaign.
Click on “Manage” and then select “Create testing”
1) Parameter Configuration
We select the percentage, of the starting user base, on which the test will be carried out.
If we haven’t done this previously (in the creation of the starting campaign), we can select a segment or a starting list to run the test on
This field is required.
Finally, we select the “Metric” on the basis of which the system will select the winning email of our test
This field is required.
2) Creation and customization of variants
At the top, the menu for creating variants will appear in the newsletter editor.
By pressing on the “+” we can add a variant.
A pop-up will open where we have to enter a name for the variant
In addition, if we want, we can change the subject or preview text for this variant.
Once we have created our variant, a new tab will be shown with the name of the variant.
By clicking on the pencil next to the name, the pop-up will reopen where we can go to edit the name, the subject and the text of the preview, while if we click on the trash can we can delete the variant.
Up to a maximum of 3 variants can be created.
Each variant can be customized in content, we must first select the variant we want to customize and use the same tools we have available for creating an email.
