Thanks to the restyling of the new editor, it is possible to insert content and product recommendations into our email template in just a few clicks.
To discover this feature, let’s continue by taking up the template we created at the end of the article “How to Insert Contextual Values in Emails Thanks to the Built-in Editor” and enrich it with a product recommendation.
From the editor’s side menu, we continue by accessing the section dedicated to recommendations.
Here we can choose between two types of recommendations: product recommendations or content recommendations.
This depends on the type of website we have integrated with Blendee. If the site is a content site (e.g. blog articles) then, to show recommendations, the “Contents Recommendation” block will be selected and dragged into the drawing area, in the case of an eCommerce we will choose the “Products Recommendations” block.
We then proceed to select and insert, in the workspace, the block relating to recommendations.
Once the block has been inserted in the left column, we will have to choose the algorithm according to our needs.
Once the algorithm has been chosen, the recommendation is automatically generated:
(The image shown will then be replaced with the product image when submitted.)
By default you will enter the product name, price, currency, image and button that links to the product.
The editor will automatically associate the link to the product page with the button, as shown in the settings section of the button.
We can proceed by choosing the number of products to show to the customer by selecting the recommendation block and moving to the settings section.
Keep in mind that:
The type of recommendations varies if we want to create an email within an experience or email campaign, in fact if we create it within an email campaign. experience we have the choice between all 4 types, Prodcuts Recommendation, Contents Reccomendation, Contextual Recommendation, Last Order Recommendation, while in email campaigns we will only have Products and Contents Recommendation.
Thanks for contributing!
